Symbiosis –noun- -Biology- A mutually beneficial relationship between different people or groups.

The University can be a fractured place, with so many disciplines crammed together on one campus, sometimes overlapping and complementing, but more often separate and competing. Student and faculty lives can be just as fractured, with jobs, socializing, families, research, writing, and class segmented into competing categories, each making their own demands.

Jesus promises peace. The Hebrew word is shalom, and the thought behind it means something like wholeness. Following Jesus is a process of bringing all the disparate parts of our lives together under one Lord. Jesus called this the Kingdom: a promise best described as the overlap between heaven and earth.
